Photography - One of the most important factors of a wedding is the wedding photography. The wedding photography is what is left when everything else has been packed up and put away. It's the pictures that will be looked at by generations to come. Photographs are the most tangible item you walk away with.

For me, wedding photography is not just about taking pictures on your wedding day. With over 20 years’ experience working throughout Staffordshire as a professional wedding photographer, I never underestimate the importance of getting to know you before the big day.

The last thing any Bride or Groom wants on their wedding day is a complete stranger bossing them around and pointing an unwelcome camera in their faces. I take the time to get to know you both before your wedding; that way, you’re relaxed. We’ll have discussed what photographs you’d like well in advance of the day and will have put a loose plan together of how we’re going to accomplish getting all those beautiful images without anyone feeling stressed (or tired of smiling!) .

I’m inspired by you. I want to tell your story. Your wedding photography shouldn’t just be a collection of neat clips from your day, it should capture the essence of your day. The images should convey emotion, make you smile and bring a tear to your eye. They should help you appreciate the little details you might have missed , the look of pride on a father’s face, a bridesmaid’s laugh or a shared smile.

My style is a blend of elegant fine art imagery and authentic, storytelling photography that documents your day in a timeless and heartfelt way. I produce dreamy images that reflect the romance and emotion of beautiful moments, creating photographs you will treasure for a lifetime.

Having spent 10 years in the design industry before moving into the world of wedding photography means I have a strong eye for composition and creativity and a confidence to try something new. Yet at heart, my work is fresh and natural, finding elegance and beauty in simplicity.

It gives me such joy to be around people who love each other, which is why I completely adore weddings! I’m hugely inspired by light and that wonderful connection between the couples I photograph. Your wedding day is one of life’s most wonderful moments and it is my privilege to be able to capture it for you.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to have a look at my work and learn more about the photographer behind it. Put simply I am down to earth, easy going and passionate, with a genuine love of people, of all ages and stages in life. I love to connect with all, to see them happy, relaxed and enjoying everything life brings them.

I was told once by a client that I photograph everyone like they are my best friends. This was something that made me very happy indeed, as I love to make people feel at ease and have fun on the shoots.

You will be amazed how quickly you lose that veil of awkwardness that we all have in front of a lens…. The most important thing for me is being able to capture the real person, each individual, in the most beautiful and creative way that I can.

I love the challenges shooting on location can bring, from finding a great backdrop in amongst normal everyday things, to the constant changing light. This is truly a skill to find beautiful light and use it creatively; even in my studio I use beautiful natural light. I also have studio lighting kit but natural is my first choice every time.
